Press Club of Long Island

I am proud to have served since 2016 as a board member of the Press Club of Long Island, among the most active chapters of the Society of Professional Journalists. I was vice president for a year and president from 2018 to 2021. In 2016 and 2019, PCLI was named SPJ Large Chapter of the Year from among the dozens of chapters across the country. Here are a few of the events that I have organized:

The Walt Whitman Birthplace Museum in Huntington Station where PCLI held a poetry reading in 2018 to raise funds for the Committee to Protect Journalists.

Walt Whitman, I celebrate thee!
